OUR EDUCATIONAL PROJECT

Our educational project is a different proposal, an alternative to the traditional methodology based on cards, where the child had a more passive role in their education. In our center, the children are the protagonists of their own learning.

It is therefore a project developed by the Hormiguitas team where we work on different didactic units (based, of course, on the curriculum of the Conselleria de Educación), taking into account the centers of interest throughout the course.

  • The child is the main protagonist in this process.
  • We aim to achieve the global development of all motor, affective, cognitive and social learning .
  • We respect the needs and characteristics of each child, always taking into account their possible limitations.
  • Our methodology is based on flexibility and adapts to the different stages and maturity processes of our children.

We understand learning as a consequence of experiences, therefore our activities are primarily experiential, and for this we rely every day on our greatest privilege: our outdoor environment.

Try, fail, get it right.
That is LEARNING

We are going to get dirty, we are going to play, we are going to test all our senses, with our own and/or acquired tools, we are going to make mistakes and then try again, because one of our objectives is for them to be who they want to be, to develop their artistic spirit, to find their originality, to be creative, different and self-confident.

 

 

 

  • Through the game and thanks to it, we manage in a fun way to get the attention of our students and, in this way, we all achieve our purpose.
  • They enjoy themselves and we reach our goal: learning. Meaningful learning, which permeates, which aims to achieve the overall development of each of our little Ants.
Play:
the essence of all learning
  • For us it is the essence, the basis on which any learning at this age should be based.
  • All of our activities and each of the workshops we conduct throughout the course are approached from a playful perspective.
  • Play allows us to connect with our students, to enter their world and thus be able to achieve the learning objectives we have set for them.

Our facilities allow us to “let them be” and in them they develop all their senses by touching, seeing, hearing, tasting and smelling, without taking into account the difficulties that may arise for those who do not conceive the stage we are working on.

DIDACTIC UNITS

  • They have a duration of two weeks
  • We develop the activities through play, from an experimental perspective and in a totally experiential way.

Knowing yourself
  • You will be informed of everything we are working on with your children at all times.
  • You will be involved in many of the units
  • We take advantage of our outdoor environment, in which our little Ants can experiment and learn with countless materials, but always respecting the maturity pace of each one of them.
  • We work on different transversal themes throughout the course and during the development of each of the didactic units:
  • knowledge of their own body.
  • knowledge of their emotions.
  • hygiene.
  • companionship.
  • care of the environment.
  • healthy eating.
  • values that encourage them to be great people.

AUTONOMY + SELF-ESTEEM

We encourage the autonomy of each child by providing them with self-esteem and self-confidence.
Safe children.
Happy children’.

We guide them in the search for their true “self”, we make them think, we help them to reason, we allow them to choose and we give them the necessary tools to be able to act on their own.

 

This is the basis for our little ants to feel happy and develop as individuals in a safe place, as they would at home.

We cannot conceive of a way of educating, teaching and accompanying the development of our students at this age if the family is not the protagonist of our history.

PARENTS.

AN ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN THE SCHOOL.

Parents should always have an (active) participation in our school, we want you to be part of the learning process of your children and you are always invited to come to our school.

Share with your children whatever they need, want and/or we consider necessary for their development.

We feel proud and privileged to be able to offer our students and their families another way of educating and teaching. That is the engine that drives us every day to do better, our students and their families are our incentive every school year.

FREQUENT QUESTIONS

Ratio of students per classroom:

According to the criteria established by the Ministry of Education, the ratio of students per classroom is as follows.

Classrooms from 0 to 1 years old : 8 children

Classrooms from 1 to 2 years old : 13 children

Classrooms from 2 to 3 years old : 20 children

 

Subsidy from conselleria:

Being a nursery school authorized by the Conselleria de Educación, the center is in charge of the complete processing of the application for the children’s voucher. Likewise, we will discount from the first month the total amount of the scholarship.

 

Uniforms :

Uniforms are mandatory in the classrooms of 1-2 years old and 2-3 years old and can be purchased at our school.

Transportation service:

If you do not have a private car to bring your child you can use public transport. If you are coming from San Juan beach we recommend bus number 38 and if you are coming from Alicante bus number 23, both stop very close to our school.
